fairtrade soap dish: akashmoni wood
Akashmoni trees produce beautiful yellow and sweet scented flowers. The pollen produced by the flowers is favoured by bees and goes on to make some of the worlds finest honey. Indigenous Australians would also use extracts of tree as a pain killer.
The Dirt Creative Akashmoni soap dish has a beautiful golden brown tone, Akashmoni wood is traditionally used for making tools. Making for a tough and durable item.
Our wooden items are produced in collaboration with a fair trade artisan organisation based in india. Helping to provide income for communities and ensures traditional artisan skills are passed down to the next generation.
We recommend using our wooden items for storing your Dirt Creative soap. Using wood to store soap will prevent it losing its beneficial properties. The Dirt Creative soap dish will also return to the earth if disposed of.
